📜 TRANSCRIPT – PART 1
Man: Hello, Bakewell Travel. How can I help?
Sarah: Oh, hello. My name’s Sarah Carter. I wonder if you could tell me about the price of plane tickets to Dubai.
Man: Our computers are down, so what I can do is take some details about you and your travel plans. Then when everything’s OK again, I can call you back, alright?
Sarah: OK then.
Man: So, some details first. Your name was Sarah Carter, wasn’t it?
Sarah: That’s right.
Man: And can I take a contact phone number?
Sarah: 07958847222.
Man: Now, I’ll probably need to get back to you on this. Shall I call you back tomorrow morning?
Sarah: Oh, I work on Wednesdays. Can you call me back on Thursday before 12?
Man: Fine. OK, so, Mrs Carter, how many tickets will you need?
Sarah: Three adults and four children.
Man: So, 7 altogether. Are all the children under the age of 14?
Sarah: They are, yes.
Man: Which date do you wish to travel on?
Sarah: Well, we definitely need to be there for the 24th, so if we leave the UK on the 22nd November, we’ll have time to recover on the 23rd. Not this month, next month, November.
Man: Right. And I assume these are return tickets?
Sarah: Yes, we want to fly back on the Tuesday. Is that the 25th or the 26th?
Man: It’s the 25th. So it’s going to be a short visit?
Sarah: We’re going to a wedding. We’re not going for a holiday.
Man: Oh, that’s nice. Now, do any travellers have any special requirements? You know, special assistance with mobility and that sort of thing?
Sarah: Oh. Well, actually, yes, my son can’t eat cheese. It makes him really, really ill.
Man: Fine. So, as soon as I can, I’ll look into finding some tickets for you. Now, I wonder if I could just ask you a couple of questions as part of our market research. Would you be happy to do that?
Sarah: Will this take long?
Man: Just a couple of minutes, that’s all.
Sarah: OK.
Man: So how many foreign visits have you made in the last 12 months?
Sarah: About six, I suppose.
Man: And where was your most recent visit?
Sarah: Well, I was in Egypt in May, then India. I’d love to go back there for a holiday.
Man: So that trip wasn’t for leisure?
Sarah: No, it was for business.
Man: OK. And finally, have you used our website recently?
Sarah: Yes, I did look at it about a month ago when it was redesigned, but to be honest, it was just too slow. I gave up in the end.
Man: Oh, dear. We’ll definitely look into that. May I have your email address so we can keep in touch?
Sarah: Yes, it’s carter.s@speedtech.com.
Man: Is that S-P-E-E-D-T-E-C-H?
Sarah: That’s right.
Man: Thank you, Mrs Carter. I’ll get back to you soon.
